AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Tuesday said that four Taliban insurgents were arrested in an operation in Kandahar province.
In a press statement issued here, the NDS said that its operatives succeeded in arresting the Taliban commander along with his three fighters in a special operation conducted in the volatile province.
The militant commander was identified as Mohammad Alaam.
The detained insurgents are residents of Kandahar. During the interrogation, the militants confessed that they were involved in assassination of different government officials in Kandahar.
Three motorbikes and two pistols were recovered from the arrested Taliban militants.
