AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: India will invest at least $9 million to build Charikar water supply system in central Parwan province which will be completed within a year, local official said on Friday.
Quoted by Pajhwok Afghan News, the director of technical services, Himat said completion of the project will fill the gap of potable water in Charikar City and Salang district.
He said work on the vital scheme will start within a month.
He added that the project has 31 kilometers long with the capacity of supplying 16 inches of water.
According to the official, two water reservoirs with capacity of 6,000 gallons will be built in the city and the residents will receive clean drinking water all the time.
