AT-KABUL: A policeman and two prisoners have been killed when prisoners transport vehicle turned turtle in western Herat province.
Rafiq Sherzai, spokesman for central hospital in the province, said that the incident took place in Pul-e-Pashtun area of the province. “As result of the incident one policeman and two prisoners have been killed and 11 others wounded,” he added. Sherzai added that the wounded people include five policemen and six inmates.
He said that some of the wounded people are in critical health conditions.
Abdul Rauf Ahmadi, a spokesman for Herat police, said that security forces were transferring the prisoners from Gozara district to Herat hospital for treatment, when their vehicle turned turtle. He said only two prisoners have been killed in the incident and eight people including six policemen and two prisoners.
