AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Nearly two civilians were killed in an explosion in northern Kunduz province early Wednesday, local officials said.
In addition, 11 other civilians were injured in the blast.
Head of Kunduz Provincial Council, Mohammad Yusuf Ayubi, said the blast took place about 10am local time after explosive devices placed near Kunduz hospital was detonated.
He did not provide further details.
According to officials, the police have started investigations into the incident.
No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast yet.
