AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A number of unknown gunmen set ablaze two mosques in northern Baghlan province the other day, said an official source.
Quoting an official source, TOLOnews reported that the incident took place in Amir Sher Ali area of Dand-i-Ghori district of the province. The source said that the gunmen also engaged in armed clashes with local people and then fled the scene.
The incident comes just days after that unknown gunman damaged around five mosques in the same area after setting them on fire.
No one including the Taliban has accepted responsibility of the act. However, residents of the district say that Daesh fighters are also active in the area.
Police have launched a probe into the incident.
