AT-KABUL: Officials and employees of the Ministry of Education (MoE) on Monday donated blood to those who were injured in the recent spate of violence in the capital city.
Minister of Education, Asadullah Hanif Balkhi, along with tens of employees, teachers and students went to a hospital in Kabul City and donated blood aimed at supporting the injured countrymen.
In a statement issued here, the ministry said that it has reached an agreement with the Ministry of Public Health to send mobile teams to the schools to take blood from students and teachers as many people want to donate blood.
The ministry said that to avoid rush at the hospitals the decision was taken. MoE also pledged to help injured people while donating blood during critical condition.
