AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) alleged that Pakistan was involved in recent bombings in Kabul.
Talking to a press conference, Haseeb Seddiqi, the NDS spokesman, said that the explosive materials used in the bombings were of military grade, which are not available to ordinary people.
He said that suicide bombers are still receiving training in Pakistan in order to carry out terrorist attacks in Kabul. Terrorist attacks in Kabul this week killed more than 50 people and injured over 400 others.
He said that Islamabad did not deliver on its promises to stop Taliban militants from holding gatherings on its soil. “However, we see that such gatherings are talking place,” he added.
He said that the Taliban is nothing more than a tool of foreign policy used by Pakistan. Seddiqi added that rifts among the Taliban has grown wide after revelation of Mullah Omar’s death.
Seddiqi added that the NDS has foiled several terror bids over the past few days. “The NDS operatives arrested 548 militants and 50 others surrendered over the past three months,” he said.
