AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Afghan security forces have captured a huge cache of made-in Pakistan weapons and bullets along with those who wanted to transfer it in a car in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Sunday. Briefing newsmen, Nangarhar police spokesman Maj. Hazrat Hussain Mashraqiwal said that a man was detained in connection of transporting 31,000 bullets in Surkhab district of the province.
He added that the seized bullets were hidden in a car and it was about to be shifted to Logar province. Without giving details, he said that a probe into the case has been launched.
It is worth mentioning that at least 260 armed militants suffered casualties during an ongoing operation “Iron Triangular” in eastern Nangarhar province.
