AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Tuesday foiled a major terror attack by arresting a Haqqani Network trained would-be suicide bomber in Kabul.
In a media statement issued here, the NDS said that its operatives detained a would-be suicide bomber in the capital city. According to the spy agency, the bomber wanted to target police headquarter in 8th jurisdiction of the capital city.
A bag full of explosives was recovered from the bomber. The would-be bomber was identified as Mahmood.
The detained suicide bomber confessed that he wanted to attack the police headquarter. According to primary interrogation, the would-be bomber received training in Faizul Madaris in Shamshato area of Peshawar. He had links with Haqqani Network.
