A military helicopter crashed in central Bamyan provinceon Monday, killing two people aboard and wounding five others, an official said.
Abdur Rahman Ahmadi, the governor’s spokesman, said the helicopter — flying from Bamyan to southern Kandahar province — crashed in Qazan area in the afternoon.
He said two people onboard were killed and five others wounded. The condition of three of the injured is critical.
Ahmadi did not reveal identities of the victims but said he along with some security officials reached close to the crash site.
He said more information about the incident would be shared later on. Ahmadi linked the crash to the pilot’slack of knowledge of Bamyan’s geography. (PAN)
