AT-KABUL: As many as 278 army officers graduated from the Marshal Fahim National Defense University (NDU) were commissioned to the army on Tuesday, a military official said.
Addressing the ‘Graduation Ceremony’, Gen. Sharif Sharifi, commander of the Marshal Fahim National Defense University, said the officers graduated after completing their one-year training at the university would be commissioned to the Afghan National Army to serve the nation in a better way.
“Currently the university is imparting training to 1,000 cadets. Since 2012, the university has graduated as many as 1,078 military officers,” Sharifi said.
After the full security transition, Afghan security force have assumed the security responsibilities from international coalition troops after the NATO troops concluded their combat mission officially and went into training mission.
