KABUL: Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah, says that he was not called to consulting over the preparations of the upcoming consultative Loya Jirga for peace.
The Loya Jirga is set for April 28th with 2,500 representatives to give consultation to the government about peace process.
Abdullah who is also one of the runners for this year’s presidential polls, said on Tuesday that he and his electoral team had their opinions about the jirga, but they were ignored. He added that this made him to boycott the grand assembly.
He pointed to the ongoing war in Afghanistan, blaming Taliban militants as the “main reason” of the conflicts. He demanded the insurgent group to use the chance for peace and stop bloodshed.
