KATHMANDU: Nepal lost to Afghanistan by 10 wickets in their second match of the ACC U-19 Premier played at the Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Nepal were bowled out for 123 runs in 47.6 overs.
In reply, Afghanistan raced to 127 without losing the wicket in 25 overs.
Openers Nasir Khan remained unbeaten on 57 off 79 balls hitting seven boundaries, while Hazratullah struck six fours and three sixes in his 68-ball 71.
Earlier, Sunil Dhamala top scored for Nepal with 46 runs, Yogendra Singh Karki added 20 runs. Prem Tamang contributed 20 runs and Dipendra Singh Airee scored 10 runs. Other batsmen failed to score in double digits.
Zia ur Rehman and Perwez Makalzai of Afghanistan took three wickets each while Naveen ul Haq pocketed two wickets.
Nepal will play their third match against hosts Malaysia on Monday. (thehimalayantimes)
