KABUL: A high-level Afghan delegation, leading by National Security Advisor Hamdullah Mohib would likely to visit Pakistan in near future for talks on counterterrorism and the ongoing peace process.
“At the invitation of Pakistani Army Chief Gen. Qamar Bajwa, NSA Dr. Hamdullah Mohib will lead a high-level delegation to Islamabad to hold discussions on counterterrorism, security and peace process,” Strategic Communication Director and Spokesman to the National Security Advisor, Tariq Arian said in a tweet message.
President Spokesman Haroon Chakhansori also confirmed of a high-level Afghan delegation to visit Islamabad in near future to discuss issues related to security issues. He said that NSA Hamdullah Mohib will lead the delegation.
However, he did not elaborate further that when the delegation will fly to Pakistan and what issues they would likely to discuss with Pakistan officials.
Pointing toward recent invitation extended to President Ashraf Ghani by Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit Pakistan, Chakhansoori said that president accepted the invitation and both sides are working over the schedule of visit.
