AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A suicide bomber was arrested by Afghan National Security Forces before reaching the target in Helmand province. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) spokesman Sediq Sediqi said that the suicide bomber was held in Nad Ali district of the province while he was trying to carry out suicide attack.
Afghan forces also seized an explosive-laden vehicle from suicide bomber, he said.
No Taliban group has commented on the arrest of the alleged suicide bomber.
It is worth mentioning that Monday afternoon four people were killed and five others were wounded in a suicide car bomb attack in Helmand province.
Helmand is among the volatile provinces in southern Afghanistan where insurgents group are actively operating in different districts. Helmand is also the largest producer of poppy and drugs.
