KABUL: At least 55 Taliban militants have been killed during joint operations carried out by the Afghan security forces in western Ghor province, ministry of defense said on Wednesday.
These Taliban militants were killed during a joint clearance operation carried out by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in Samak region of Daulat Yar district of the province, the ministry said in a statement.
“ANDSF succeeded to detect and neutralize 14 roadside bombs as well.”
According to the ministry, the Afghan security forces have stepped up counter-terrorism operations to suppress the insurgency activities of the terror groups in different provinces.
