KABUL: The Afghan defense authorities say that the Afghan security forces have retaken the control of Balkh district in Balkh, Doshi district in Baghlan, and Ali Abad district in Kunduz province.
The ministry of defense in a statement said that Afghan security forces have recaptured the control of Ali Abad district in Kunduz and they are progressing in the province.
The Afghan security forces also carried out joint operations in Balkh district, in which the district was cleared from the Taliban militants, according to the ministry’s statement.
According to the statement, at least 30 Taliban fighters were killed in Bala Hesar area and Balkh district during clearing operations.
Similarly, the Afghan security forces retook the control of Doshi district of Baghlan.
According to the statement, the clearance operation is ongoing in Baghlan province and the security forces would use all possible means to defend and protect the people.
According to reports, the Taliban insurgents have attacked Doshi and Balkh districts in the past 24 hours and took control of some areas.
It is worth mentioning that the Afghan security forces also recaptured two districts in Takhar on Monday.
