AT-KABUL: Rajab Ali Andishmand, an Afghan inventor who recently designed a military tank and an airplane, has criticized the government for its inattention towards the field of science and technology.
Rajab Ali Andishmand is in the field of engineering for the past over 40 years. He worked inside and outside the country. On Thursday he said the government must support inventors for development of the country.
Speaking at a press conference here he said if the government is unable to support inventors then it should introduce them to other countries for progress.
“I have designed and made different tools for different factories in Afghanistan and Iran. I am able to invent tools to decrease traffic accidents, prevent boat from capsizing and even decrease risk of plane crashes,” he claimed.
He said that in the past eight months he had made a robot, which is useful for military purpose. The robot is like a small military tank equipped with binocular and can cross rough ways.
Seeking the government’s support, he said that he had shared his works and plans with different government departments but failed to get positive response.
