KABUL: Political analysts believe that ties between Kabul and Washington have been badly worsened that caused the US withhold tens of millions of dollars aids to infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
Also, members of parliament say that corruption, mismanagement and lack of transparency in the government body have caused the US to stop pouring aid money to Afghanistan.
The US recently returned 160 million dollars expected to be spent in a big power project in Afghanistan. The US also pressures Kabul to hold a transparent presidential election.
Meanwhile, a number of political analysts accuse the government of Afghanistan of not being serious in countering corruption, saying that corruption was one of the reasons that Washington stopped donating Afghan projects that led the two countries taking distance.
Analysts and members of parliament say that mismanagement in the government caused the United States to lose trust in Afghan government.
