KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 35 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 39,227 throughout the country.
The Afghan Health Ministry said Sunday that out of 267 suspected samples, 35 had come positive—14 cases were reported in Kabul, six in Balkh, five in Daykundi, five in Badakhshan, four in Kunduz and one in Parwan provinces.
According to the ministry, seven patients have recovered during this period and the total recoveries exceeded to 32,642 and deaths to 1,453 since the outbreak of the virus started in the country.
