KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 409 fresh covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 28,833 cases across the country. 12 patients lost their lives to the virus and 472 others recovered during this period.
The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday said that out of 1,007 suspected samples, 409 were reported positive.
184 positive cases registered in Kabul, 38 in Herat, 19 in Kandahar, 15 in Nangarhar, 12 in Takhar, three in Bamyan, 29 in Baghlan, 33 in Badghis, 15 in Badakhshan, 11 in Ghazni, 10 in Kunduz, eight in Parwan, eight in Nimroz, eight in Farah, eight in Kapisa, seven in Zabul, and one in Kunar provinces, according to the health ministry.
The total recovery has reached to 8,764 and the dead to 581 across the country since the outbreak of the virus started in the country.
