Afghanistan records 1,530 new virus cases, 80 deaths

KABUL: The Ministry of Public Health on Sunday reported 1,531 new cases of coronavirus and 80 deaths across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry’s data, the new cases were reported positive out of 4,994 suspected samples tested in different laboratories during the same period of hours.

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic has reached 115,615 cases around the country.

Another 805 patients have fully recovered and been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours, the ministry added.

The total numbers of deaths exceeded 4,730 around the country since the outbreak of the pandemic started over a year ago.
