Kabul: The Ministry of Defense of the Taliban has refuted the claims made by the Pakistan Army regarding Afghanistan’s alleged involvement in the country’s insecurity, instead asserting that ISIS operatives are entering Afghanistan from Pakistan.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense dismissed the Pakistan Army’s assertions regarding the planning of the attack on Chinese engineers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Afghanistan, as irresponsible and divorced from reality. The statement emphasized that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is heavily secured by the Pakistan Army, and any targeting of Chinese nationals there indicates a failure of security agencies or their potential complicity in the attack, with Pakistan bearing responsibility in either scenario.
Enayatullah Khwarazmi, the spokesman for the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense, strongly rejected the blame being placed on Afghanistan for such incidents, considering it a futile attempt to divert attention from the truth. Khwarazmi highlighted that the Taliban has reassured China of Afghanistan’s non-involvement in such matters.
Furthermore, Khwarazmi pointed out instances where ISIS militants have crossed into Afghanistan from Pakistani territory and orchestrated attacks from there, holding Pakistan accountable for such actions.
In conclusion, the spokesman reiterated the Taliban’s belief in the mutual benefit of stability and security in Pakistan for Afghanistan and the broader region, emphasizing the importance of maintaining brotherly relations between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
