KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 104 new positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 40,937 cases throughout the country, the Ministry of Public Health said Monday.
These cases come positive from 431 suspected samples – 41 positive cases were recorded in Herat, 19 in Kabul, 17 in Ghazni, nine in Kandahar, seven in Takhar, seven in Kunduz, two in Nimroz and one cases each in Zabul and Uruzgan provinces.
Four patients have lost their lives battling the virus and 21 others have fully recovered during this period of time.
The total recoveries exceeded to 34,150 and the deaths jumped to 1,518 across the country.
