Afghanistan U-19 beat UAE U-19 by 10 wickets in the Asian Premiere League. United Arab Emirates won the toss and elected to bat first. United Arab Emirates could not resist well against the Afghan bowling attack and got all out after scoring 88 runs. Tariq Khan got 5 wickets while Zia-ur-Rahman and Rasheed Khan added 2 wickets each into their tally.
Afghanistan U-19 chased down the target quiet easily in 13th over of the innings without losing any wicket. The aggressive opening batsmen Hazratullah and Nasir Khan scored 41 not out runs each. Tariq Khan got player of the match award for his brilliant bowling performance. This victory keeps Afghanistan U-19 at top of the table of Asian Premiere League.
Afghanistan Cricket Board chairman Nasimullah Danish said that the huge victories of the young stars will bring the attention of ICC more towards Afghanistan. He added that such performances will help us reach our goals more easily.
Afghanistan Cricket Board CEO Shafiqullah Stanikzai expressed his happiness regarding the victory. He said that the result of these games will have positive impact on other youngsters in the country and will motivate them to work hard for getting place in the national sides.
