Kabul: Afghanistan’s under-19 national team won the first match of the three-way series with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh against its rival Bangladesh.
In this competition, which was held today (Saturday) at the Sharjah Stadium, the members of the Afghanistan’s 19-year-old national cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets.
The Bangladeshi team started to make their runs first, but they did not stop long against the Afghan bowlers.
The first player of Bangladesh was dismissed when the team had scored 25 runs. But the second, third, fourth and fifth players lost consecutively while they had only 30 runs.
Bangladesh lost all their players by making only 75 runs, Afghan bowlers also gave 17 extra runs.
The Afghan team will play their second match on March 22 against their rival Sri Lanka.
The competition started on the 18th of March in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and will continue until the 30th of this month.
