AT-KABUL: At least 27 Islamic State fighters were killed in a pre-dawn airstrike on Saturday in eastern Nangarhar province, officials said.
The air force targeted Daesh fighters’ hideouts in Khogyani district of Nangarhar last night, which as result 27 Daesh affiliates were killed, said a statement issued by Ministry of Defense (MoD).
Statement said that a sanctuary of the enemy also destroyed during airstrike in the district.
No civilian casualty report during incident in the area.
Khogyani district is one of the volatile districts of Nangarhar, where mostly Daesh loyalists are active and conducting terrorist and subversive activities.
