Kabul: Vedant Patel, the Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department, referring to the Qatar meeting for Afghanistan, said: “Recognizing the Taliban is not an option and our priority in this country is to confront the ISIS group.”
He added that America will work with international allies to suppress the ISIS terrorist group in Afghanistan.
The Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department added “We are committed to providing humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan and we will try to prevent this aid from being given to the Taliban.”
Patel stated that America deactivated the remaining weapons when leaving Afghanistan and most of them are unusable.
Afghan analysts believes that America is trying to use a tool called ISIS as a proxy force against its regional rivals after losing the war in Afghanistan and fleeing this country.
After the fall of the republic, the situation in Afghanistan faced various crises, and that is why the existing gaps have become the basis for the existence of ISIS in some parts of the country.
