KABUL: Angeza Shinwar, ex-journalist and member of the provincial council of Nangarhar Province who got seriously wounded in an explosion in Jalalabad city has succumbed to injuries.
Zabihullah Zmarai, another member of the provincial council of Nangarhar says that Angeza Shinwari breathed last around 12: PM last night in the hospital.
Angeza Shinwari was wounded in the explosion of a magnetic bomb which was attached to her vehicle in Jalalabad city last week.
Because of the seriousness of her wounds, Angeza Shinwari was brought to Sardar Mohammad Dawoud Khan hospital in Kabul.
The explosion occurred in front of Bibi Hawa high school in Jalalabad city.
Her driver was killed on the spot while Angeza Shinwari and three other civilians were wounded.
Angeza Shinwari, 34, was an Ex-Journalist journalist who was serving as the member of the provincial council of Nangarhar for a second tenure.
Angeza Shinwari was renowned for voicing for women rights and education.
No arrest has been made in connection to the attack on Angeza Shinari . (KP)
