Army choppers deliver confidential election materials to Faryab

By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL: Army helicopters have delivered confidential election materials to northern Faryab provinces, said Shahin Corps Spokesman Hanif Rezaee.

Hundreds of boxes containing confidential election materials have been conveyed to Faryab by army helicopters in several trips, he asserted.

The materials were transferred from Shahin Corps campus and handed over to provincial election office in Faryab, he added.

He stated that beside security reinforcement of election, transferring of confidential election materials to remote and insecure provinces is one of the most priorities for Afghan security forces.

Following high ranking officials order Afghan security forces transfer the confidential election materials in coordination with the Independent Election Commission (IEC), he noted.

Afghan forces transfer materials through air, when its shifting is impossible via land, he underlined.
