AT News Report-KABUL: Afghan National Security Advisor, Haneef Atmar met the US Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, Alice Wells, discussing political situation in Afghanistan and the region.
The two sides assessed the Kabul and Tashkent conferences, emphasizing on struggle against terrorism.
Atmar said that there was regional and international consensus supporting Afghan peace program “which is very important”.
He added that the Afghan security forces were enough capable to remove domestic and foreign terrorists that are threatening the region and the world’s stability.
Ms. Wells praised Afghanistan’s achievements, saying it was important to lead the regional and international concession to a right direction that could help peace efforts.
