AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Director of Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) termed attacks on offices of media organizations as attack on the freedom of expression.
Danish Karokhel said that those involved in recent attack on Pajhwok Afghan News bureau office in the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, should be declared as war criminals.
According to reports, a magnetic bomb attached to PAN bureau office’s entrance gate went off in Jalalabad city on Wednesday night. Pajhwok reporters were not present in the office at the time of the blast.
The Chief Executive Officer condemned the blast and called it attack on freedom of peace in Afghanistan.
The Human Rights Watch warned that such attacks on media organizations might increase in the future.
Karokhel said that such attacks will not deter Afghan journalists from their aim to provide truthful and unbiased reports.
