AT-KABUL: Afghan Wireless Communication Company (AWCC) on Monday said that it has received license from the Apple as authorized distributor in Afghanistan.
Head of AWCC, Amin Ramin, said that his company is the first and the only one that has been certified and authorized by the Apple as dealer in Afghanistan.
According to the agreement, Afghan people can purchase Apple products from the AWCC’s outlets, he added.
He said that AWCC shops would sell “iPhone 6s” and “iPhone 6s Plus” with special privileges and full confidence. After-sales services will also be provided to the customers.
Deputy Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology, Sayed Wahab Sadat, said that communication sector created over 200,000 jobs in the country and AWCC has a greater part in the aspect.
He said that the ministry strived hard to pave the ground for investment in telecommunication sector in the country.
Currently, around 20 percent of people have access to internet services, where efforts are on the table to expand internet facilities to different provinces in future, he said.
