KABUL: Massoum Stanakzai, head of Afghanistan negotiating team slammed Taliban militants for what he said “wasting chances for peace”, calling it oppression to the people of Afghanistan.
Stanakzai called on Taliban leaders on Sunday to stop keeping their fighters in dark, saying leading the fighters in dark of war by their leaders is against the Holy Koran and Prophet’s manner.
He said that Afghan and other Muslim clerics have forbidden war and bloodshed and order for stopping of war and agreeing on cease fire.
Stanakzai claimed that Afghan religious scholars would be ready to prove the ongoing war by Taliban is forbidden.
But Taliban leaders accuse President Ghani of hampering peace to prolong his tenure for five years in the power.
