AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Chinese Ambassador to Kabul on Friday met representatives of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and pledged Beijing’s continued contributions to the reconstruction and economic development of Afghanistan and assistance to IDPs, Chinese media reported Saturday.
During the meeting the Chinese Ambassador, Liu Jingsong and the representatives of IDPS discussed mechanism of aid distribution among the affected families.
Prior to this, the Chinese Embassy staff distributed various items, comprising computer desks, tables, chairs, windows, aluminum alloy doors and radios among the affected families on Thursday here at Char Rah-i-Qambar camp in Kabul.
Welcoming the Chinese assistance, Juma Khan, a teacher at the camp thanked China and urged the rest of the civilized world and humanitarian organizations to help the affected families with required assistance and provide fundamental facilities of quality education to their children.
“The Chinese support will help our children to read and write and get better education,” he said.
