By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL: Chain’s first military shipment aid reached to Afghanistan on Sunday and was formally delivered to government in Kabul military airport.
The package included transport equipment for the Afghan security forces and ammunition for light weapons.
“Following mutual agreement, this is the first Chines military package donates for Afghan army forces,” said Afghan National Security Adviser Hanif Atmar.
He said that China’s military aid will be continued to Afghanistan and in future Afghan forces will receive further military aids including transportation airplanes.
Based on mutual agreement beside economic assistance, China will provide Afghanistan military aids, he added.
“This military aid will impact positively on anti-terrorism was as well as capacity building of army forces,” Atmar said.
He stated that China would also granted military scanner to Afghan police forces in near future, which would help police to reinforce security in a better condition.
“China military aid is sign of joint perception between China and Afghanistan, which means terrorism is a joint threat for both countries,” he claimed.
He called the donation as the start of a joint program of combat against terrorism, saying it was clear that china is at the side of Afghanistan in anti-terrorism war.
Only China has not donated military aid to Afghanistan, Russia and NATO also have supported Afghan government in the aspect, which is sign of big support from Afghan government, he noted.
Atmar said that China’s aid is a proof that Afghanistan is not alone in this true anti-terrorism combat, China, NATO and Russia will stand at the side of Afghanistan.
“Such donation also gives clear massage for supporters of terrorism, that regional movement, which initiated by Afghan government will isolate backers of terrorism,” he noted.
Atmar said that peace process door will be open for those who wonder to join peace, but will never allow to that cluster to continue at killing, they will be faced military action.
Chinese Ambassador to Kabul Yao Jing said that China will remain committed to help Afghanistan reach peace and stability.
He said that China will make efforts to support Afghan forces through military aids.
“China will support Afghan government in anti-terrorism war,” he added.
