KABUL: Members of the parliament and a political coalition say that the electoral commission tries to authenticate ballots without biometrics to help some certain candidates win the parliamentary election.

They said Wednesday that the independent election commission under the pressures from government and foreigners has decided to authenticate the ballots without biometrics so that candidates close to government could go to parliament.

Meanwhile, bodies monitoring the election say the decision would lead election toward fraud, saying that clean votes should be separated from the fraudulent ones.

Analysts believe the votes with biometrics decrease the chance of those candidates who had spent millions of dollars and those supported by the government.

Parliamentary election was held on October 20th after a three-year delay, but many people claim it was full of fraud and violated the law.
