AT-KABUL: The New Line Organization, a civil society body lauded Monday the female security officers and female journalists at the eve of the international women’s day.
“We tried to commemorate international women’s day in a different way with applauding female security officers and female journalists with granting braveness trophies,” said Fahim Sediqi head of organization.
He said that the program aimed real commemoration of women’s day, not a symbolic one.
“We are praising those ladies who always attempt to pave the ground for all people to live in stability,” he added.
He called 2015 a difficult year for the security forces. “Enemies of Afghanistan carried out several subversive activities, but security forces by giving sacrifices repelled their attacks.”
Manizha Ramezi, spokeswoman for the organization said that besides praising the female security officers, the organization will submit a draft to the government to boost up women’s role in political and civil positions.
A representative of the National Directorate of Security Shila Dostzada said that female officers are working to improve the security situation along with the male officers despite facing challenges and threats in the society.
She termed the female officers’ role positive and fruitful in security improvement.
