KABUL: The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission has expressed concerns on prolonging the civilians’ casualties across the country.
The commission in a statement said that 21 civilians including 10 children and eight women were wounded in Alishing district of the eastern Laghman province.
The findings of the commission showed that the clashes inflicted huge financial damages to the residents.
This comes as the violence has been intensified across Afghanistan amid the U.S. efforts to broker a peace deal between the government and Taliban.
The commission called on the Afghan war parties to reach a ceasefire and end the ongoing war in the country.
The interior ministry on Saturday reported six civilians dead and 21 others wounded, saying that these civilians suffered casualties in roadside mine blasts carried out by the Taliban across Afghanistan.
