KABUL: The Afghan Commando Forces have conquered Taliban’s largest command and control center during a latest crackdown in eastern Nangarhar province, military officials said on Tuesday.
The operation was conducted in Hesarak district of the province where the Afghan Commandos succeeded to capture the command and control center of the group, the ministry of defense said in a statement.
Taliban through this center had controlled terrorist activities and operations in eastern zone, particularly in Nangarhar province, the statement added.
Some of their weapons, ammunition and hashish were also seized by Afghan security forces during the operation, the statement added.
