KABUL: The newly-established commission of so-called “Commission to Of Contacting and Returning Former Afghan Officials and Political Leaders, has begun activities.
Islamic Emirate’s Deputy Spokesman, Inamullah Samangani, said that the commission would hold talks with political and other figures who are abroad to ensure them and pave the way for their return to Afghanistan.
“The commission has a duty to have contact all Afghan political figures living abroad so that the grounds for their return can be provided,” said Inamullah Samangani, deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate.
Analysts believe that the delegation of the Islamic Emirate should run the negotiations based on a specific agenda.
“There are political figures who have questions, they have questions about the future of Afghanistan, about the legitimacy of the system and about the future elections in Afghanistan,” said Sayed Ishaq Gailani, leader of the Afghan National Solidarity Movement, adding that “these are the things that politicians are waiting to hear, and if this delegation talks to them without an agenda, I think it would be useless and would be a failure.”
There is no further information as of now that which Afghan leaders have been contacted by the Islamic Emirate.
