AT-KABUL: A conference launched in Kazakhstan to explore ways to expand economic relations between Afghanistan and Central Asian region, said the acting Minister of Commerce and Industries.

Muzamil Shinwari told Azadi Radio that the conference was aimed at improving trade relations between Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.

“The conference kicked off the other day in Almaty, the capital city of Kazakhstan,” he said. Shinwari added that the conference was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia-Pacific.

Shakir Kargar, President Ghani’s advisor on Central Asian affairs, is leading Afghan delegation in the conference.

Shinwari said that the conference would encourage investors in Central Asia to invest in Afghanistan.

He added that the international community is keen to encourage investments in Central Asian region and Afghanistan.
