KABUL: Less than 414 new coronavirus cases have been reported and fatalities from the disease amounted to 52 deaths in the past day, the Ministry of Public Health said on Sunday, marking a sharp decline compared to the past week.

The ministry said that out of 1,697 suspected samples tested in laboratories in the past 24 hours, 414 were reported positive.

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic reached to 144,285 cases in the country.

Ministry said that 1,224 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours.

The death number exceeded to 6,477 in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
