KABUL: Following the outbreak of corona virus in Iran, the Afghanistan embassy in Tehran has suspended consular services against the applicants.
The embassy in a statement said as the numbers of applicants are in high rate, the embassy has suspended its consular section until Wednesday to prevent the possible spread of contagious virus.
But the consular section would be available in emergency situations, read the statement, adding that the embassy has been looking forward to find out a standard measure to provide a safe circumstance for consular services.
Iran, the neighboring country of Afghanistan, has recently witnessed 29 cases of corona virus with six deaths so far.
Meanwhile, health officials in western Herat province, on Sunday confirmed three suspicious cases of coronavirus. The Ministry of Public Health said that it has provided serious medical measures on borders and airports to prevent the spread of the virus in Afghanistan.
Corona has first diagnosed in China, where over 70,000 people have been suffering from the virus. Corona has been diagnosed in several worldwide countries as well. The virus has claim the life of more than 2,000 people so far.
