KABUL: Authorities of the World Health Organization has held a second emergency meeting regarding the outbreak of novel coronavirus in Geneva, where they provided public health advice or suggests formal temporary recommendations to counter the virus. The Organization has also called on worldwide countries to be taking fully preparation as the case may be appeared in any country due to contagiousness of the virus.
“All countries should be prepared for containment, including active surveillance, early detection, isolation and case management, contact tracing and prevention of onward spread of 2019-nCoVinfection, and to share full data with WHO,” said the International Health Regulations Emergency Committee- a department of WHO in a statement, adding, “the countries are reminded that they are legally required to share information with WHO under the IHR.”
The committee has expressed worries about the surge increase of the virus in the under developed countries as they are incapable of fighting the virus.
“Provide support to low- and middle-income countries to enable their response to this event, as well as to facilitate access to diagnostics, potential vaccines and therapeutics,” the statement said.
The Corona Virus has so far claimed the life of over 200 people in China. The Virus has been first confirmed in Wuhan city of China nearly two weeks ago however now 19 countries of the world has confirmed the cases.
