COVID-19: 172 cases, 10 deaths reported in past 24 hours

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 172 new cases of coronavirus and 10 deaths around the country in the past 24 hours, said the Ministry of Public Health on Sunday.

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic reached to 59,015 cases across the country.

The new cases were reported out of 2,189 suspected samples, according to the ministry.

Another 97 patients have fully recovered during the same period of hours.

The total recoveries have exceeded to 52,489 and the deaths to 2,592 across the country since the outbreak of the pandemic started over one year ago.
