KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 203 new positive cases of coronavirus and eight deaths in the past 24 hours throughout the country, said Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Sunday.

The total tally has now reached to 52,909 cases around the country. These new cases come positive out of 1,502 suspected samples tested in the past 24 hours.

According to the ministry, 114 other patients have fully recovered during the same period of time.

The patients have recovered exceeded to 42,405 and the deaths to 2,230 in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic nearly one year ago.
