Covid-19: 234 infections, six deaths in one day

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 234 new infections and six patients fighting the pandemic passed away across the country over the past 24 hours, said the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Tuesday.

The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic reached to 60,797 cases in the country.

MoPH said that out of 2,078 suspected samples tested in laboratories over the past 24 hours, 234 were reported positive.

The ministry said in a statement that 133 patients have recovered over the past 24 hours.

The patients have recovered exceeded to 53,694 and dead number to 2,654 in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
