KABUL: Afghanistan recorded 46 new positive cases of Coronaviurs and 13 others fighting the pandemic died in the past 24 hours throughout the country, said Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Monday.
The total tally since the outbreak of the epidemic reached to 53,584 cases in the country.
Ministry said that out of 1,886 suspected samples tested in laboratories in the past 24 hours, 46 were reported positive.
MoPH said that 189 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours.
The patients have recovered exceeded to 44,137 and the total dead number reaches to 2,301 in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
This comes while, MoPH urged people to use mask in crowded gatherings in order to be protected from the second waves of the pandemic.
