AT-KABUL: The leaders of the National Unity Government (NUG) should not call the current challenges as a legacy owned by previous government.
Ahmad Wali Masood, Head of National Hero Ahmad Shah Masood Foundation and a prominent Afghan politician, called on the leaders of NUG to accept their failures and don’t portray everything as a legacy of the previous government.
He said this during a ceremony commemorating International Teachers’ Day in Kabul, on Sunday.
Some of the participants called on the government to develop the education system into professional standards.
Moreover, Masood recalled some serious problems in the education sector, urging the government to solve these them.
Furthermore, he called on the donor countries to monitor their aid, so to be sure their aid would not be lost.
Regarding recent Senior Officials Meeting (SOM), he said money that has been allocated by donor countries should be used properly.
This comes as government leaders during several occasions termed deficiencies and problems of the current government as a legacy of the former government, which provoked many anger.
